Intersection Worktable by Snøhetta

About Snøhetta was approached to create a bespoke office table solution for a private office. The result is the Intersection Table: a nearly five meter long table made materials sourced from Lake Pieman in Tasmania and constructed in Snøhetta’s Adelaide studio. The concept of intersecting planes inspired the form, and, despite it’s sculptural appearance, it remains a functional space for working, with hidden storage and charging capabilities built into the central column.

Role and responsibilities I was one of two designers working on the concept development and initial design phase of this project.

The Intersection Worktable, aptly named for its multifunctional use, provides a generous workstation space for four people with an integrated meeting place at one end – all in a seamless form. Its hollow legs intersecting the tabletop hide storage, cable management and organization accessories.
