‘FIX the Food’ festival, by the nobel peace center

About Designit was tasked with developing a concept for the FIX THE FOOD festival to act as the red thread tying all the different elements of this food festival together. From this concept we would develop both a visual identity, overall layout, and physical installations. For the Nobel Peace Center, hosting a food festival was a step into unfamiliar territory. We gave them the guidance and tools to successfully host this event and ensure that the focus on the peace prize and the WFP remains front and center.

Role and responsibilities I worked alongside a graphic and digital designer to bring the concept to life, from hosting a naming workshop with the client, to assisting with the visual identity, and designing and creating an instruction manual for the pallet installations.

Installations By using pallets from food transportation, we created several seating and signage installations throughout the festival— both to remind users of the focus on food and provide functional seating areas throughout the festival. To understand how to build these installations, we provided Nobel with a step-by-step instruction manual.
